This photograph is of my grandfather, Fred Woodward and my father, Reginald John
Woodward who was born on the 29th Feb 1904 at Reddings, East Dean

I think the photo was taken in the 1920's. at the New Monkton Colliery Sports
ground Royston in what was then the West Riding of Yorkshire

My Grandfather, Fred (Jerry) Woodward, who was a champion cycle rider
I've been told that he once held the one mile grass track record

He was born in 1885 in East Dean and married Edith Hale in 1903
They moved to Yorkshire sometime between 1903 & 1912
