Frederick John BURROWS, born 1887, a son of John and Ellen BURROWS, Fruit farmers of Rodley, Westbury on Severn.
Railway porter at Ross on Wye. Later, Sir Frederick Burrows, GCSI, GCIE. President of National Union of Railwaymen 1941-44; the last Governor of Bengal 1946-7.
