1930 Trades Directory - H Salter (General)

This directory makes very interesting viewing and my thanks to Slowhands for sharing it with us.

I recognise the entry for H Salter Painter and Decorator. Harry lived in Staunton Road Coleford and the cottage is still there (its called Lydia's cottage)

His wife was Lydia Frowen b 1878. She was my Grandmothers aunt and I collected her pension for her every monday from Mile End Post Office in the early 1960's in 10 shilling notes! She lived at Broadwell with my grandparents in her latter years. I do have some family history/photos if anyone is working on this line. Briefly, her parents were James and Charlotte Frowen . Her brother William married Esther Hawkins.
