Tamar CHARLES nee PRITCHARD 1812 - 1888, Viney Hill (General)

The "weight" of evidence suggests she was born 1811/12 in the Awre and Blakeney parish. Viney Hill parish was formed around 1865/6 however prior to that the settlement was "under" Awre and Blakeney Parish. So she may well have been born in the settlement that we now know as Viney Hill, when it was "administered" by clergy from Awre and Blakeney.

The church of ALL SAINTS, Viney Hill, begun in 1865 and consecrated in 1867, was built as a memorial to Charles Bathurst (d. 1863) of Lydney Park by his wife Mary and his brother and heir, the Revd. W. H. Bathurst. (fn. 25) In the mid 1830s the Viney Hill area was visited by the curate of Blakeney and the vicar of Awre.
