im trying to trace my husbands family.his father robert john mccartie died 1938 at the age of 28.his father john was stationed in india where robert was born 1909.he lived in cheshire altringham, 42,oldfield road.had a brother called frances,and sister called winnie.his grandparents lived in alringham,but his great grandfather was a policeman in the metropolitan police force in 1868 served 26years became a police inspector, his nam was john mccartie married a mary,lived67,loftus road,sheperds bush,london,w12.he left ireland in 1860,lived in mill street,cork,born 29/9/46.died1928/30?
