Hester Eliza James, nee Wathen.
Christened 10th June 1831 at Cambridge, Gloucestershire.
Died 20th November 1912 at 17 Morpeth Street, Gloucester.
Buried at All Saints Church, Blakeney.

Hester was married to William James of Blakeney on the 30th January 1854 at Blakeney, and they had eight children including my Grandmother, Kate James.

The Wathen family had strong connections with the River Severn as fishermen, and doubtless this is how Hester found her way to Blakeney.

I would be interested to hear from any other Wathen connections from either side of the River Severn.
