I suspect you've already seen this reference, sorry no pictures, from the Sungreen site.

As a general question to the Forum, does this site have any direct relationships with the local newspapers such as "The Forester" ex "DF Mercury" in Cinderford.
I'm ashamed to say despite my sister working the front desk for them, she's not too forthcoming when I enquire about what achives they may keep and how to access them. This is 'cos they've all been under considerable pressure following changes of operating systems and then ownership this last year or three, she's always "too busy" to help me. That said it now appears to be a privately owned business and not part of a wider group as it was last year, so maybe they're a good port of call for old news such as this enquiry ?. In their shoes I'd try hard to utilise & promote any such archives they have, as I'm sure they do whereever possible. If I still lived locally I'd make enquiries.
I do know when I bought some old papers on a wellknown internet auction site some years back they were from a Coalway gent, apparently rescued from their old premises on Woodside street (is it still there ?), I believe the papers were then being printed at Gloster ?. That gent turned out to be Rod Neep who I gather is a prominent local historian and may well be a member of this forum ?.

"The Forester"s new website is

http://www.cinderfordforester.co.uk/index.cfm

ps I will try and dig out those papers and look for the Choir etc.
