I am trying to find out any records or any Lewis connections in the Lydney area, of my Great Great Grandfather George Lewis. On the 1851 Census for Heath Town in Wolverhampton was baptised in Lydney in 2nd July 1820? His father was probably a John Lewis and his mother Mary (nee Birt?).At the moment I am not sure where they were living between 1820 -1843?

There was another record of a George Lewis born in Saul 5th July 1818.His father was a Tin Man of Saul and later George became a Tin Roller in Wolverhampton by 1851 Census.

George married Caroline Beard at Kidderminster Parish Church on 3rd July 1843.We think Caroline Beard might have born in Penallt, Mons.
