I don't know why you say you are late in the day. I have Mary Ann Trigg 1849's father John Trigg 1817 in my Family Tree 1st cousin 4 times removed, so we will be related. He was the son of George Trigg 1796 & Lucy Marfell. I have the marriage certificate for John Trigg 1817 & Ann Matthews 1817, daughter of William Matthews 1792 & Esther Dubberley 1789, also the birth certificate for Mary Ann & Lucy Trigg, which I would be happy to email you if you wish, just click on the envelope icon next to my name and this will enable you to email me. I imagine that as you have the exact date of birth for Mary Ann Trigg that you already have hers.

I have Mary Ann Trigg as married to James Reynolds in 1868, with 5 children between 1871 & 1880. This could be wrong, or it could be that her marriage to John Harrington was a second marriage. Details of the 1868 marriage and the 1881 Census are shown below. You will notice that the witnesses are Thomas & Elizabeth Meredith. There are a number of associations between this Trigg family and the Marfell's and Meredith's - indeed Mary Ann Trigg's grandmother Lucy Marfell had a sister Mary Marfell who married Benjamin Trigg and their daughter Elizabeth Trigg married a Thomas Meredith.

The fact that I have little information regarding John Trigg & Ann's family could be explained by their moving to the industrial north.

The only other of John Trigg & Ann's children I have further details of is for Timothy Trigg 1842 who married my 5th cousin twice removed Mary Meek 1854.

Timothy applied for Gale - Prosper Colliery on Harrow Hill, which was granted 9.6.1890. I have some detailed information of the Gale in his hands, until
3 August 1894 when the Colliery forfeit.
