Map reference SO 588114. The Bird in Hand is still trading. It is a whitewashed building on the road leading towards Berry Hill. The pub had an annual rateable value of £14.0s.0d. in 1891 and 1903 and closed at 10 p.m. It had a six day license, presumably closing on Sundays.
