Ernest James born approx. 1896/7 Brierley Gloucestershire (General)

I have no other details other than his parents are shown as
John (Jack) James
Eliza (Mills) James
Ernest does not appear to have gone to America with his Mother and Father in the early 1920's. Can anyone help please in what happened to him.
