BIDDINGTON/BEDDINGTON Surname Study DNA Project (General)

May I make an appeal for some assistance?

I’ve long been conducting a one-name study into the surnames Bettington, Beddington, Bedington, Biddington and Bittington (there’s a précis here - http://one-name.org and enter the surname into the search box). These names have strong roots in the Forest of Dean, they’ve cropped up several times in the past on these boards. With the documentary study now so well developed I am extending it further to include DNA testing in the hope of detecting connections to other folks with the names in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

I’m therefore looking for suitable participants. If anybody can put me in touch with chaps bearing one of the names, with their male line tracing back to the Forest and who might be willing to participate then I’d much appreciate it.
