Thanks Colin. Yes Sungreen has a picture from a similar position and from around 1960. I'm really after a close-up of the shop front of number 31 to see the original facade, and the construction of the walls without the rendering it is covered with today. The Sungreen picture also does have some comments with the names of some of the occupants of the shops in the photo, which might be another lead.
