Certificates..... (General)
Please excuse this Yankee's lack of knowledge! How does one obtain a birth, marriage or death certificate? Do you need to know the exact date? What is the fee? I was under the impression, I would have to personally go the Registration Office. Would SKS please explain.

A lot depends on what information you already have on the people who you are requiring the certificate of. The free Births Marriages and Deaths search section on the Rootsweb site is a good place to start and gives details of how to obtain certificates.
