The railing and gates of the church were made by my grandfather, George Williams who was a local blacksmith and deacon of the church for many years.

The church was founded in 1854 by Joseph Mountjoy - a butcher from Cinderford.

We've have an old photo of an Unknown Chapel in our Photo Gallery.

Today while searching the net for information I came across a recent photo of the Coleford Baptist Church which I recognised as being the same as our Unknown Chapel.
