Elizabeth Hall nee Walford in the photo who was the mother of Grace Sollars was my great grandfather's sister, below is a link to a Walford family tree which dates back to 1672.

Plaque made to commemorate James Henry Ball
in Lake Terrace cemetery Mt Gambier, South Australia.

My great great grandfather James Henry Ball was baptised 11 June 1809 in
St Andrew's Church Woolaston, the son of James Henry Ball and Mary
Thomas.

In 1832 James married Anne Price, daughter of James Price and Anne
Reeks, at St Andrews Woolaston.

James and Anne arrived at Port Adelaide in 1852 per 'Sea Park' with 5 of
their children.

James Henry Ball died 29 Aug 1883 at Strathdownie Vic Australia aged 75
years, leaving 22 children, 56 grand-children and 6 great grand-children.

Frank Step HOCKADAY (1856-1924)
He was a magistrate and proprietor of Parkend Deep Navigation colliery.

Jane WANSBROUGH (1857-1939), who married my maternal grandfather, Frank Step
HOCKADAY, in Newport in 1883.

Percy Holland HOCKADAY (1890-1974), commissioned as a Captain in the
Monmouthshire Regiment in 1915.

Sydney Reginald HOCKADAY (1892-1916)
Taken in the garden of Highbury House, Bream Road, Lydney.
