Eliza Griffiths baptism circa 1822 Ruardean who was she?

After getting loads of help from this group sorting out the two Giles and Sarah Griffiths families in Ruardean in the 1800'S, I now think that my Giles and Sarah may have had a child Eliza circa 1822. I know she isnt on the census with them 1841 and there is an Eliza on the other Giles and Sarah Griffiths in Ruardean but my Giles had a son called Henry whose death cert shows him to have a sister Eliza.
Confused? I am!

I wonder if anyone has the means to find out just how many Eliza Griffiths were born/baptised in Ruardean circa 1822.

Likewise if anyone can find an Eliza Griffiths not living at home on 1841 census I would be interested.

I believe she married John Taylor in Monmouthshire circa 1843 and so by 1851 she is married and living in East Dean.

Another thought has struck me, does 1841 census show relationships as the Eliza Griffiths in Ruardean has an older sister Elizabeth, maybe she is a cousin and not a sister, is there anyway of telling?

1841 is simply a record of those living at an "address", no relationships are given, just name, age, occupation and born in county or not.

I am in the process of transcribing the Ruardean baptisms from 1813 - 1901, so far I have got up to 1824, but a search shows:

Mary dau of Giles/Sarah Griffiths bapt 25 September 1820
Eliza dau of Giles/Sarah Griffiths bapt 12 January 1823
Mary dau of Giles/Sarah Griffiths bapt 19 January 1823
William son of Father not stated/Sarah Griffiths bapt 2 November 1823

I also have
Sarah Griffiths age 58 buried 9 June 1855 and
Giles Griffiths buried 1 November 1863 (no age given)

The only possible marriage I can find for Giles & Sarah is:

Giles Griffiths married Sarah Meek 15 July 1820 at Llanwenarth,
Monmouthshire.

Thanks Graham, thats certainly given me and my fellow Griffiths researchers food for thought. And a general thanks for the great work you are doing re baptism records!

The two Giles and Sarah Griffiths families on 1841 census Ruardean are certainly hard to distinguish but from your info it seems that the Meek family are involved with the Griffiths- again.

I have a birth cert of Giles Griffiths 1840 showing Sarahs maiden name to be Morgan and so maybe we now know that the other Sarahs name was Meek.

Does you baptism records show mams maiden names by any chance cos its getting so hard to differentiate who is who. As you can see from census it looks like Mary and Elizas parents were different.

Any thoughts welcome.
