Many thanks to Ann Hurst and Eileen Nelmes who have transcribed the Forest of
Dean 1841 census name index and for making it available for display on the
Website.
Ann, also tells me they are working hard on 1861 census name index and is is
nearing completion.
The Forest of Dean 1841 census name index is located in the Members Area of the
Website together with the Parish Records Transcripts.

To make it a little easier to locate names within the database, I've added a
Surname Search facility which is similar the one used with the Parish Records.

Brilliant work, very useful and thank you very much. Can I ask whether the Eileen Nelmes involved with the project is the daughter of Louis John Nelmes & Norah Griffin ? If so we are related.
