Please can anyone help? I am told that my Great Grandfather, John Morris Thomas, appears on the 1861 census aged 6 or 7 at Lydney. I do not have access to the census. Could someone please tell me where he was living in Lydney, and who his family were?

Ian, what was your great grandmothers name? I thought if I knew that then I might be able to narrow down the family on the 1881 census for you and also maybe find a baptism for your great grandfather on the IGI, if you like.
