Joint Death (General)

My wife has her GGG Grandfather and Mother both died on the same day and buried in Jan,Feb,Mar 1882 in Stroud.
What happened to them, why the same day?
Robert Saunders B 1804 M 1837 D 1882
Sarah Saunders B 1806 M 1837 D 1882
