Mother of Ira JAMES b 1816 (General)

by ritpetite @, New Zealand, Wednesday, February 03, 2010, 05:41 (5490 days ago)

Hello
Could someone please convince me who Richard James's wife was ie Ann but more importantly who was Ira's b(1816) mother?

Was it Anne Jones or Ann Kear. Does anyone know what happened to Anne Jones

I am not convinced it was Ann Kear but cannot find proof.

The marriage of Anne Jones and Richard James was 10 months prior to Irahs birth.

Is there anyway I can find out?

Help.

Rita James

There are at least two Richard / Ann JAMES families in Bream / Newland. You are looking for the Shoemaker rather than coal miner family.

Year: 1816
Month: Aug
Day: 18

Child_Forenames: Irah
Fathers_Forenames: Richard
Mothers_Forenames: Anne
Mothers_Surname:

Notes: In this record a forename was not clear so the best guess was given. Any abbreviated forenames have been expanded to the full name
Register_Reference: P57 IN 1/2
Page_Number: 16
Parish_Chapel: Bream

This would be my initial choice ( but need more evidence before I could be sure ):-

Year: 1815
Month: Oct
Day: 15

However this would appear to be a sibling :-

Thank you everyone. I just needed an outsiders view point. It is not my fault they had no imagination with names, haha, I am sure they married the same named people as well just to throw our family trees out.

I want to make sure before I put it all on paper once and for all.

Thanks again and thank you for your site. I struggle in other areas of England but because of this site I am able to get information as well as talk to others in the same boat.

Regards
Rita

Rita

The Father of Richard James who married Ann Jones is Jephtha

The father of Richard James who married Ann Kear is James(Jemme)James

Jephtha and James(Jemme)James were brothers

Their parents were Richard James born c1727 and Sarah unknown

So both Jephtha and James Jemme James named Sons after their Father
