Sims and Cousins in Wotton under Edge (1700's) (General)
I want to thank whoever sent a message to the Gloucester-Rootsweb message board about the new records that were available. If it wasn't for that I may not have realized that Wotton under Edge (is that the correct way to write it - no dashes?) was in the Forest of Dean. I thought it was too far east. I haven't researched much here so I wasn't aware of that fact.
Anyway, my Sims and Cousins ancestors were here in the early 1800's back. What is the availability of records for this time period? At some point the Sims joined the Baptist church.
Thanks for the help and education!
Joyce

Wotton under Edge is not located in the Forest of Dean, nor does it border onto the Forest. I believe the Parish Records of Wotton under Edge which we have included in the Miscellaneous Section was for a special reason. That special reason has turned out to be a bonus for people like yourself who have ancestors from there.
Go to our list of transcribed records page, then type in the name of a Parish in the search box to find what records we have for a particular parish.

Thanks for clearing that up! I had it right all along. I wish more areas would go to the work you so willingly do for the FOD.
