I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Ralph Anstiss. Who sadly died last week. The Forests local historian and writer who i met on a number of occasions. A lovely Gent who helped me so much when i first started my research into the James family. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I also enjoy his books especially Warren James and the Dean Family Riots. I hope he realised how much pleasure he gave to people.

May he rest in peace, his spirit at least in the Forest of Dean.
