James Adams (General)

I know that Ad[d]ams is a common name but is this James related to Ann Mary Addams born March 1822? She was born in Newland Gloucestershire. I know that Ann Mary had a brother called James but I do not know his year of birth or anything else about him. Her other brothers were Edward, John, William, George and Edward. I do not know whether she had any sisters, it seems unlikely. Their father was either an Edward or William Adams and their mother was probably called Elizabeth. There is a photograph of her posted in the photographs section of this website, taken in Poughkeepsie.(Her married name was Rook).
George was born in Lydney and also emigrated to the USA living first in Poughkeepsie NY and then moving a few miles into Pennsylvania. The brother John died in Worcester in 1858.
