Hi Slowhands,
It just shows, you shouldn't just settle! You're right. the record below which shows Richard as a boarder is the one I'm looking for so he is not the one that passed away in 1858 as I had wrongly thought. I'm putting 2 and 2 together again here, but I'm more certain of this line. The family below is either correct as Curwin but I think more likely Cunvin; Richard married Elizabeth Cunvin in 1836 and a William Cunvin was Elizabeth's uncle - great stuff and thanks again.
