I have been searching for ages for the death details of my gt grandfather Charles Evans and have been unable to pin him down. He was alive around 1896 when my grandfather was born but by the 1901 census his wife, Sarah Ann Evans nee Morgan was described as widow and living in Shortstanding. Previously they lived in The Reddings, Lydbrook and Lydbrook area. Several Charles Evans from the BMD have not been the right one and I am stumped - don't know where to go with this. He was born around 1855 in the Monmouth Registration District. I believe Sarah went back to live near her parents, Richard and Sarah Morgan as Richard owned land in Shortstanding. I would appreciate any help or knowledge that anyone has on these families. Thank you
