Enumerator's notes (hard to read) for 1851 Census, Westbury on Severn District 2b

'All that part of the Parish of Westbury on Severn which is comprized in the 5 Tythings of Chax Hill, Stantway, Cleeve, Rodley, Bollow (including Chax Hill Horge? Hinnegar Lodge, The Flat? Baze? Court, Blue Boys In,, Berry Court & Gatwick

Tything of Bollow ends of page 25
Tything of Chax Hill ends on Page 40
Tything of Stantway ends on Page 49
Tything of Cleeve ends on last page 54

on Page 34 (near to the Plough Inn)

On the 1841 census, W-O-S - District 11, Huntley,

The family are listed as living in Walmore - Flat and in between Dinny

Charles WILLIS - 25
Louisa - 25
Ann - 2
Mary - 2 months

On the 1861 Census, District 3c - if you click on District you can read the Enumerator's handwritten route - in this case 'return along the Gloucester Road, taking all houses on both side thro' Claxhill etc. etc'

Charles is still living in Cax Hill, The Rookery -(Gloucester Road listed just above him and eitherside of the Rookery.

On the 1851 census, there is just one person listed between Charles WILLIS and John TURK and his family - and on the 1861 census, again John TURK and his family are still there next door - in the Rookery.
