by thalia, Friday, May 07, 2010, 01:03 (5392 days ago)
I have been researching my husband's family for ages but can't find out much-we even went to the museum at Cinderford.
The person I am researching is
George Phelps born 16/5/1819 Forest of Dean-parents William Phelps and Anna Bullock.
Can anyone help?

I'm trying to find out anything about George Phelps-we know he was born in the Forest of Dean in 1819 and his parents were William and Anna. Where exactly did they live-how many siblings did he have and what is the history of his Phelps and Bullock ancestry? What did his father do, was he a farmer? I would be grateful for any information. Was George a convict or did he come to Australia as a free man as my father-in-law thought?
