You are getting back to the time of the English Civil War.
Prior to this, say 1600 - 1650, the records are hit and miss , and before that even more so. It was approx 1540 when the first Parish records were kept and there was some opposition to these records :-) many were not kept for fear of taxation ....
1633 Minsterworth is about the earliest so far transcribed here.
Minsterworth Church is probably from the 15C , Churcham I think predates it by 300 or 400 yrs and may have been the church / parish where your Triggs were baptised/married

I am usually guilty of following the parents and siblings of spouses too far, in this case I have to go many generations from John Trigg to reach any relative. I can see your interest as via their son William Trigg, as this leads you to the Thomas Trigg who married Kezia Gibbons.
I cannot help you regarding occupations, but I believe you have shown the wrong date for John Trigg 1650's death. I have his burial as 9 Apr 1682 - However his wife Mary nee Floyd was buried 28th May 1691.

Going back through the generations

It's worth attempting to go back as far as you can. One branch of my family (not FOD) I now have traced as far back as the Tudors! (This is mainly because they lived in a very small geographical area for many generations and were married, baptised, buried in the same few churches). So it is possible where records exist it's just finding the records, once you find one record it leads to finding more I have discovered!
Try also the Mormon's Familysearch.com as it sometimes has generations of records, if not for a direct line it might for a related line of the family. Also some of the government websites have records of people going back years e.g. The National Archives. I found some good records on the Welsh Government/National Archives website regarding wills and land owning.

I am a direct descendant of John and Mary Trigg (nee Floyd) going back 9 generations. According to my family records, John was born in 1650 to William Trigg (born 1598) and his wife who is unknown at this point. William was the son of William Trigge who was born in 1560. I guess the "e" was dropped from the Trigg name at this point.
John Trigg had a son born in 1673 who was named John. Seemed to be a tradition in the Trigg family, the reusing of names. My second name is John. I grew up in New Zealand and now live in Vancouver, Canada.
My great-great grandfather, Walter Mansfield Trigg was born in Ovendon, UK and emigrated to New Zealand according to my family records.
