Mill Hill, Bream (General)

Anyone know where Mill Hill is? I note from the 1901 census there are about 59 houses in Mill Hill so, provided I can work out which end of the street the enumerators started, I may be able to find where my ancestor lived in 1901. The hope is that I can then photograph the place if it still exists. My ancestor Hannah Downs formerly Morgan nee Haynes was living in schedule 29, with her daughter Elizabeth Crote nee Morgan. My grandfather William Henry Morgan was living in Schedule No 46 with his aunty Hannah Pearce nee Morgan.

Many years ago Mill Hill also covered what is now known as Hang Hill Road. My husband lived as a young boy in a house which had the address of Mill Hill. (now Hang Hill Road)
Mill Hill probably covered an area from Hang Hill Road to the S bend towards Clements End. (Where the old Oakwood Public House commonly called the Mill used to be) An up-to-date map will tell you what area is now Hang Hill Road

I cannot find Mill Hill on a map. Does it still exist or has the road been renamed.

Have just looked in Royal Mail Postcode Book for 2000.
One entry " Mill Hill, Bream Postcode GL15 6LH
This should pinpoint the area better.

Thank you that is very useful. I have now a route to GL15 6LH. The 1901 census shows Mill Hill ends with Sun Tump. My guess is that Mill Hill has been renamed New Road. Does anyone know whether any of the 1880 houses remain or has the place been redeveloped?
