I am trying to research my Fisher line, Ruardean, Hope Mansell, Ledbury are the connections I have found so far. If any one is doing the same reasearch I would love to hear from them.

Have you a Henry Fisher in your research? He married my husband's Great Grandmother - Margaret Martin (widow)- nee FREEMAN in Westbury on Severn, Glos - 1900. Henry was born in Staunton (nr Ledbury). Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Anne Martin

I dont have a Henry but I am only just starting from information from this amazing site. Do you have your tree any where mine is on Ancestry and Genes. It would help if we could look at each others trees. What date is your Henry. I have Philip John Fisher died 1842 Ledbury and then one branh going to Ruardean. I have just come back from a day at Hereford archives so I have a lot of information to type in and they told me about this site, so I have all the information on here to look at too. I am a direct desendant of Henry Fisher, who moved to Mark, Somerset in 1535. There was a lot of Fishers living Mark until the late 1800's (then they moved to Yorkshire). Don't know if we're related but let me know if this is the Henry you are looking for.

I have a Henry Fisher b. 1666 Batheaston as a direct ancestor. At one time I was barking up the wrong family free following a Samuel Fisher born in Mark. I later found the correct direct ancestor born in Charfield, Somerset. He married Mary Fowler there but she became a young widow when he died a few years later. Their son William moved to Newent in the Forest of Dean and married Mary Bowkett. There they had their one and only son, William in 1827. I am interested in any relations in the Forest of Dean area for William - hence his reason for the move from Charfield, Somerset.

Sorry I cant see any connection. My Fishers seemed to have started Worcestershire, the Ledbury Herefordshire and then Forest of Dean.

Does any one have any knowledge or photographs of the Fishers of Ruardean. My Great Great Grandfather was a Fisher and although he didn't live in Ruardean it would appear a branch of the family did. I would love just one Fisher photograph to know what they looked like.
