Elizabeth Ann POWELL, tried in Monmouth 1833 (General)

by rus_sel, Thursday, May 27, 2010, 08:38 (5372 days ago)

Looking for family of the above lady who was sentenced to 7 years for larceny and transported to Australia on the Numa arriving 13/06/1834.

I have obtain all the trial records from the CRO in Cwmbran which together with an article in the then Monmouth Merlin, offer no clue to her family or where she was from.

The only clue I have is that her Father's christian name is stated as Charles on her death certificate here in OZ, with the informant being her second husband.

Elizabeth was single at time of trial and I don't have an exact date of birth but the year would be approximately 1818.
Thank you for your interest./
