MATTHEW TAYLOR and daughter EMMA TAYLOR (General)

Information if possible is required on MATTHEW TAYLOR and daughter EMMA.

MATTHEW TAYLOR was a Cooper and lived in Bristol. Birth date unknown believed to be circa 1790's.

He had two known daughters
LUNA ANN TAYLOR born circa 1821 in Bristol. She married RICHARD JAMES of Bream in 1847.
EMMA TAYLOR born circa 1832 place unknown.

LUNA and EMMA according to the 1841 census were living in ALVINGTON at the home of one JAMES ELLAWAY. Luna was 20 Emma 9.

EMMA TAYLOR gave birth to an illegitmate son HENRY TAYLOR in October 1856. He was baptised in St James church Bream in December of that year.

LUNA and RICHARD JAMES brought HENRY TAYLOR up in their household. The 1861 census returns shows HENRY as being from HEREFORD.
EMMA TAYLOR can not be traced after this although there is a possibilty but unproven that she may have married a GEORGE POWELL of WHITCHURCH.

HENRY TAYLOR married SANNABIA COOK in 1881 and they moved to CASTLEFORD where he was a Stone Blower. They raised a family and returned to the BREAM, after 1901. He died in 1923 Sannabia in 1940.
The known children were; OPHELIA (1883)married WILLIAM DAVIS (1908). MARY (1887)married WILLIAM EVANS (1908). JOHN (1889). WILLIAM (1890) married MARY JENKINS (1913). JAMES (1895) married FANNY CHILDS (1919). CHARLOTTE (1898) married CHARLES TRUMAN (1923). GEORGE (1900) married ALICE MORGAN (1925).
