William Griffiths 1833 (General)
Hi,
I am researching William Griffiths born 1833 in Ruardean. I know that he married Abiah Yemm in 1856 and have traced him up to 1861 census but after that have found that Abiah is living on her own with the children and then remarries in 1877(Richard Knight). Does anyone know what happened to William? I have tried to trace his death but had no success. Abiah's youngest child (Amos) in the 1871 census is only about a year old but she is listed as head of the household.

Hi,
Thank you , I have just visited the coal mining records and found it so interesting. I didn't know about this site although it is provided by Raley's, a local solicitor in Barnsley (close to where I live). Thanks again.
