Aaron Simmonds/Aron Symonds c.1842 (General)

Hi all,

I seem to have hit a brick wall with my research so maybe somebody with more knowledge than me can help!

I believe my G G Grandfather, Aaron Simmonds' parents were William, of Ireland & Sarah, of Arlingham - Glos. (possibly nee Manning?). As far as I can see from combined sources this is correct info, but would love somebody to help confirm. I really don't want to go off on the wrong tangent! If this is the case, I am at a complete stumbling block as to who William Simmonds' parents might be, and how I will find out from records available?

As far as I can tell, Aaron married Maria Stevens in 1866 and they had my G Grandfather, Henry Aaron Simmonds. Henry went on to marry Alice Mason and as far as I can see, had 3 children with her. Alice passed away in 1910 and Henry re-married, to Mabel Mills. Henry and Mabel in turn had my Grandfather, Redvers, in 1923 and many other children! Especially interested in what may have become of Irene born in 1915 if anyone can help.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I am certainly no expert at all as you can see!

Any hints, tips, help, confirmations, and pushes in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also would love contact with anyone researching the Simmonds/Symmonds/Simmons/Symonds families. I believe the branch of my family lived mainly in Drybrook in the last century.
