You are among others with Forest of Dean roots, my second cousin is a New Zealander and has been involved in the direct work being done post-Christchurch earthquake (he usually lives in the North Island). I bet none of our ancestors would ever have thought that you would all be settled thousands of miles away let alone experience the earthquakes there!

Thank you Joanne and Rook for your kind words of support, yes they have been very nasty too experince and having daily aftershocks for last 8 months makes for some nerve racking moments. Lucky I had printed out my research or put on disc or flash drive the information. Just forgot to do so with my contacts silly billy me. Let this serve as a warning for all researchers. Back up all your research cause you never know what Mother Nature or any disater could all befall us. I live 1km from the inner city and so much heritage buildings have been damaged beyond repair and is very sad to see. Kai Kaha(Be Strong) my families and fellow researchers. Blessed Butty to you all. Thank you all who have supported my city and New Zealand in our time of need you all are wonderful and to you who have lost members of your families my heart and sorrow go out to you in this sad time, also to the world who sent help to my city you showed great courage and strenght to us. Truely blessed by you all Kai Kaha all.
