Matthews Family at Plump Hill? (General)
Hello there all,
I am attempting to piece together the ancestry and parentage in particular of the following family and need a little help and guidance if possible please?
A Mr Matthews and unknown spouse had the following known children?
William Stanley Thomas Matthews Aka Stan) born abt 1900 Westbury on Seven
Myra Beatrice Ada Matthews (Aka Ada)born 1901 Westbury on Seven
Edith Annie T Matthews Born 1905, Ross District
George E Matthews born ?
Kate Matthews born?
Stan worked in Forestry and a Royal Air Force Maintenance Unit. and died in 1963 for sure.
The Family lived in Plump Hill, Drybrook and attended church at the Holy Trinity Church at Drybrook is about all I know so far?
Stan went on the marry a Lilian "May" Roberts who was born 1909 in Westbury on Seven and they married abt 1944 in the FOD area.
Any and all help connecting the parents would be greatly appreciated:-)
Happy Hunting

The memorial inscription on the grave of Thomas and Laura Matthews, at Holy Trinity Churchyard, Drybrook reads: In loving memory of/Laura Albina Matthews/the dearly beloved wife of/Thomas Matthews/who fell asleep May 27 1938 aged 58 years/Not just today but everyday/in silence we remember/Also in loving memory of/Thomas Matthews/husband of the above/died March 24 1948, aged 67 years/reunited. The grave memorial apparently still exists and I will locate and photograph it if it is in reasonable condition.
