I wonder if anyone can help me to make a link in my Worgan history please. My g.grandfather was Amos Worgan, born 1878 in West Dean.He was still living there at age 4 but by 1891,at the age of 14 had moved to Sirhowy in Monmouthshire.I am trying to find his parents and although there are numerous Worgans in FoD,I have been unable to make a link.If he was illegitemate perhaps he was known by his mother's surname.Any ideas or info welcome, thank you.

Thank you dave051366 or should I say distant cousin(Ithink, not very good at at all that)!Ada Worgan was my grandmother, she died in 1979.I remember Caroline,my great grandmother, very well although I was only 8 when she died. She lived with us and had gone blind through diabetes. She was a great character and I thought the world of her.If you are interested,Ada married Edward Brickwell and their only child was my mother,Sylvia Doreen Brickwell. She married Stanislaw Bronislaw Brodnicki, and had 2 children, myself and my older brother.

Sorry to hear of your recent bereavement. My brother got in touch with your father,Ronald a few years back and he sent my brother a photo.I have not been doing this research for long myself but this site has been very helpful. It does get complicated but once you've got your tree drawn up it becomes a little clearer.I have got back to the1600s on the Andrews side(Amos's wife) and it's exciting to find yet another new ancestor. It's good to find some living ones too!My bro is concentrating on the Brickwell side.Good luck and if you think we can help you fill in any blanks or have any questions, please get in touch anytime.
