Hello I am researchiing the Harris family that was living in Lydney area for many years , they include William Harris who married Winifred King Sadler in 1859.
They had six children ,one of these was my G.G.father Edward Harris who changed his name to harrison ( reason not known) .
There were Fredrick,Edward,Winifred,Alfred,John,Archibald,and Mary Ann.
Any info would be much apreciated.

Many thanks for the info , I am most grateful for anything at this moment .
Seeems to be some mention of Edward Harris changiing his surname on religious grounds as he became a non conformist .
