I am looking for the grave of my paternal Grandfather, Edward "Percy" Phillips who was born in 1896 in Cinderford and died on 2nd June 1942 in Gloucester Royal Infirmary. I have a copy of his Death Certificate which states his residential address as Blaize Bailey, Newnham. My Father lost contact with his Father when his parents (Edward and Florence, nee ROBINS)divorced in 1926. I travelled to Cinderford/Newnham area last week and looked around several churchyards in the hope of finding him, with no luck, of course a lot of gravestones were unreadable. I have searched several websites in order to find him and have made many phone calls to no avail. I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as to where I might find any information.
