Tom SYMONDS (SIMMONDS) from Newnham (General)

Newnham
Mr Tom SYMONDS, Newnham, whose name for a quarter of a century was so prominently associated with the Newnham Artillery Volunteer Co., was very properly appointed to enlist recruits for Lord K's Army and he has been very successful at it, having enlisted nearly forty men from Newnham, Blakeney, Awre, Viney Hill and Soudley. They have joined either the Engineers, Cavalry or Artillery branches of the Army.
