During the summer someone kindly emailed me some suggestions to investigate about a Canning who was employed in the Forest of Dean. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate this email now, so would be grateful if the sender could re-contact me. My Canning relatives were based in Bristol post-1800, but I know that John Canning married in Gloucester & subsequently lived in Frampton-on-Severn - so mainly intrested in pre-1800 ancestors (or any descendants from to Canning/Hewlett marriage).
