Too many Charles Gwilliam's (General)

I know this an old thread, but it was interesting to see.
We have the inscription from the headstone of Charles Gwilliam D. 16 Dec
1826 & his wife Bridget died Jan 1827 as the heading on our family tree drawing.

"Here lyeth the body of a free and honest Nailer,
Who was for many years a Forest Gailer,
But now is gone and left it all behind,
In hope of some honest work to find."

I like the word "honest" nailer, as it ties in as a nice comment to other threads on here about the hard times nailers faced and the criminal records. Looks like the family of Charles wanted to show he hadn't commited any crimes?

Charles is not a relative definitely linked to my family tree, but my Grandpa was obviously very taken with the wording.
