Introduction (General)

Hi Stuart,
Not any sort of close relative, but my mother, her two older sisters and their mother stayed for about 15 months with the James's who brought up Frederick, Nathaniel's son, for most of his life. This was 1917/18 when Fred was working on the railways and living with his newly married wife Amelia in Newnham.

I do have a few bits of info showing some of the family in a tree, but it only covers 3 generations. It does however include the Virgos and the Colcloughs to whom I am related, via my mother's family, the Worgans.

I also have a copy of a family photo taken outside the gatekeeper's cottage in upper Soudley. It's circa 1906 and shows a teenage boy standing at the back, who I take to be Fred.
