Monmouthshire Strays (General)
Could anyone tell me how I can get access to all the Monmouthshire strays who married in the Forest of Dean. I want to include them on our website.

Where did the name of Vine come from?
Monmouthshire Strays
Timothy Morgan had a daughter, Laura who married Charles Robert Vine in Shrewsbury. When Laura died, Charles sent their children to live with their grandmother in Chepstow. Walter was my grandfather, Florence married Horace Douche & moved to New Zealand & Daisy died quite young.
Charles Robert Vine came from Bury St Edmunds, there is a further post on this site titled 'Morgans of Chepstow'
For cricket buffs, Florences GGrandson is Jacob Oram, the New Zealand fast bowler

After some further research, Alice Emma, another daughter of Timothy and Margaret Morgan maried an American, Charles Morton Lee. I don't know if they met in this country or Alice emigrated as a single woman. She is listed in the 1901 census as Lee and staying with Laura & Charles Vine in Shrewsbury. Charles Morton Lee(27/9/1866-11/2/1944) was the son of Lewis Clavin Lee (1837-1910)and he was the son of James Lee(1803-1880) His father was Henry 'Light horse' Lee and his brother was Robert E Lee, the confederate general in the American Civil War
