Andrew JONES 1884 Dymock
Thank you for responding to my query. I had, in fact, got the info for Andrew's birth and also the family on the 1901 census. I haven't been able to find anything regarding Andrew's marriage or death.
Another strange thing is that the family lived in Dymock either at Little Woodends or Portway Top (sometimes know as Porters Top) and earlier on at Welch House Farm, but I cannot find any of them at all on the 1881 or 1891 census.
However, many thanks indeed for replying.

Andrew JONES 1884 Dymock
there is a problem with Ancestry's images for the 1881 census in the Castle Tump / Four Oaks area - District 1 Dymock
in 1891 the Woodends are in Dymock District 1 so I suspect this why we cannot find them in 1881
there are about 8 pages missing as far as I can tell
looking for the FARRS in 1881
http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?mode=thread&id=5092#p5120
there are at least 2 pages missing in 1891 - pages 3 and 4 - from District 1 just after little Woodend - I cannot see Ketford - so I guess that is on the missing pages.

Thanks. It is useful to know that I am not going mad! I suppose the pages are missing whichever website you are working on. Gwen
Missing pages
Go question - it makes you wonder what is actually at the National Archives, or on a CD copy ( I dont think that Rod Neep ArchiveCD, sold one before he retired...)

You're a STAR! Thank you so much for all the trouble you have gone to. It is much appreciated and I only wish I could offer you help in return.
Many thanks again.

Prince St Maindee Newport
if you use Google maps then try
NP19 8DS
Some of the old houses still stand, some on the railway line side have recently been cleared and new appartments built.
St Matthews Maindee, Newport, is probably the local church;ST JOHNS MAINDEE CHRISTCHURCH is another contender.
Duckpool rd is NP19 5EN for Google map ! its only 200yards form Prince St.
