Napoleonic Wars (General)
I believe each county drew up a list of men able to fight in the Napoleonic Wars Posse Comitatis.
Does a list exist for the Forest of Dean (Gloucestershire)?
If a list does exist where am I likely to find it as I have a member of my family who is missing from his parish betweem 1809 and 1825.

I'd start in Gloucester at the Glosters Museum
http://www.glosters.org.uk/introduction/
They have a database of "most" enlisted soldiers.

Napoleonic Wars
Quite a few FOD men joined the Mon Militia and transferred into regular regiments and went off to the Napoleonic Wars, so you might like to check this site which has Militia Enlistments -
http://www.monmouthcastlemuseum-archives.org.uk/enlistments.php
Also have a look at the Waterloo Medal Rolls on Find My Past.
I have found a persistently missing ggg grandfather John Hughes, sailmaker of Monmouth, who for a long time I imagined evading me by sailing up and down the Wye on a trow and now I know went for a soldier.
Good luck

If you know of any good sites that hat will be helpful or contain content that
will be of interest to Forest of Dean Family History researchers, you can submit
a link of the site, on a form available on the Resources & Links page.
