On the Website we've introduced a Photo Gallery section, exclusively for old photographs of people and places of the Forest of Dean.

If you have any old photographs that you've converted into a digital format and you would like them included in the Gallery, you can send them to us as an email attachment.

Visit our Photo Gallery page for details of where to send your old pictures:

May Brace has come up with the names of the people on the Knights Bakery photo which are now listed on the website. Here are the comments May sent me

John went this morning to Ruardean with the above photo in his pocket. I knew I was unlikely to see him again until nearly tea time!

He found Robert Knight - just back from work (Yes, he should have retired 10 years ago), So, this is his "take" on the names etc - and he should know.

We have another Bakery Photo, this time it is in Coleford. John Ruck sent me some photos whitch include his father Reg Ruck. Take a look on the Gallery under 'Latest Additions'. Maybe some of listers who have Coleford connections could help us out with the names of the people on these photos.

David Beresford who is a 3rd cousin of mine has sent me some pictures of Wallace Watkins his grand-father. These pictures you can also view in the 'Latest Additions". make sure you read the text under the photo of Wallace as there is a nice little story there.

One of Wallace's sons is Professor Sid Watkins. You can read a little about Professor Sid's interesting life on the following link. Not to be missed, especially if you follow Formula One Motor Racing.
