Recently slowhands helped with thekear family i was tracing to cut a long story short this threw up cardelia Kear lodging with george & dorcas on obtaining a birth cert for her it turns out that she is dorcas sister. the question is where are her parents? William & Elvira Kear nee Priest ,he is down as a stone cutter. Also where is Cleavers end on her birth cert as place of birth?

It would appear that the name of Wiliam's wife is incrrectly recorded. This entry from GFHS Marriage Index:
31 December 1835 William KEAR of Hundred of St Briavels married Eliza PRIEST of Hundred of St Briavels by Banns at Hewesfield.

To carry on this story found Cordelia married William Coombes at Bream in Sept 1875 under the name Delia,Appears in all the censuses with between 14 &16 children ,in the 1901 shes is down as a public worker.Is this the same as a council worker?or is it like the salvation army? Any help gratefully recieved
