Gypsies (General)
There are a number of references in the BNA (1900 to 1940) to a Dora Butler. Her husband Adolphus and possible relatives, Albert, Percy and Harold Butler are also mentioned. Most of the references are to court cases concerning various petty offences. It is clear that those involved are gypsies. Most of the action takes place around Stroud. Does this make sense in your context?
